one more week

We have just one more week before our departure. We are both getting a little nervous, but we're both very excited.
We had a wonderful weekend in Palm Springs with Jason's grandparents. Seeing Grandma Rogers is always a kick and Granddad even managed to get a few words in. (Thank you to them for putting us up for the weekend.)
Chelsey's parents drove us out and spent the weekend. They seemed to enjoy meeting the rest of Jason's family and seeing a bit of Palm Springs. It was quite hard (for Barb and Chelsey both) to say goodbye, but we are already getting excited for their trip out to visit us in July.
Today we're trying to finish up the last few things we have to get done. We tried opening a new bank account today (no luck), but we did manage to get our taxes done (hooray!).
Tonight we're going to take a tour of Jason's parents' new house. We drove by it last night and it looks lovely. Jason's dad is especially proud of the gun turrets in the wall out front. Apparently he doesn't want and unwanted visitors -- and he says he and Jason are nothing alike!
Tomorrow we are headed to Busyland (aka Disneyland) -- thanks to Jason's family for our birthday present. I haven't been in quite a while, and apparently there is a whole new park now (California Adventure). It'll be a treat to revisit some of my favorites (Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Space Mountain and the teacups) and get to check out some new rides. Jason's family (who all have yearlong passes) may come join us later in the day. Jason's dad hopes to go on the Jungle Cruise one more time with Jason, who is the only person who will go on the ride with him.
