Krakow
Krakow actually reminded both Chelsey and I quite a bit of Prague. The main centre of Krakow is the Old Town, centered around Old Town Square, just like in Prague. There's even a double-spired church on the square, although the spires on Krakow's St. Mary's don't match each other. There's also a castle overlooking the river, although in Krakow it's right on the river. Plus it has the dragon. Walking from our hostel through Old Town to the castle was a v
One of the days we spent there we took a day trip out to some salt mines near Krakow. This mine is huge, and a tourist attraction because of the way the miners have carved some of the shafts in their free time. There's several sculptures carved from salt, a couple of chapels carved out of the salt and rock, and some other interesting work. The main chapel was very impressive - 10 meters high and richly decorated, including a copy of Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" carved into one of the walls (which is entirely salt). It was a very interesting. At the end of the tour there was a bar in case you wanted something to eat or drink a couple hundred meters under the earth.

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time. Mike says that you did well with the food though. I will have to tell him about the dragon. That sounds cool. Mike's home town is not too far from Krakow. Don't ask me to spell it though...Good luck training for the marathon.
Love,
Kim
