Czech beer

Baby Jesus, Santa's Czech helper, left Dusty and Missy six different Czech beers in their tuques (our stocking stand-ins). This consisted of one bottle of each major Czech beer: Pilsner Urquell, Budvar, Staropramen, Gambrinus, Kozel and Krusovice. Dusty decided we should do a blind taste taste, so we each sampled the six beers and ranked them. The consensus winner? Staropramen, the Prague beer, which both Dusty and Missy ranked No. 1 and Chelsey and I both had in the middle. My No. 1 was Budvar, sometimes known as Budweiser, but different from the American beer of the same name. Chelsey picked Krusovice as the top. The consensus loser was Pilsner Urquell, which surprised me because it is probably the most famous Czech beer. It should also be noted that none of the beers sampled were dark beers, although we all agreed the dark Kozel would be among our favourites.
