sushi!!
I'm not a seafood person. I never have been. I'd politely say no to anything from the sea -- no crab, no shrimp and certainly no fish. I hate the way it just falls apart in your mouth before you have the chance to chew.
But, I've been trying to be a more adventurous eater and I know that fish is supposed to be very healthy, so I'm trying to like fish. When Jason orders it somewhere I'll usually try a bite. But that's about it. I'm good for a bite. (The calamari incident in Greece set us back quite a bit. It was like trying to eat a rubberband. I just kept chewing and chewing and hoping to swallow, but it wouldn't let me and I had to keep chewing. Jason thought it'd be good for me since I don't like it when fish just falls apart. But I guess I need something in the middle.)
Anyway, Jason's family has a sushi restaurant that they like, so I decided I've give it a try. Our friend Jimmy had a sushi party while we were in Prague, and I did well at that -- I had one with imitation crab in it.
So I decided to be very adventurous tonight and I got a sushi that had crab in the middle and salmon on top. It also had mango and alvacado and cucumber inside. I was a little intimidated because the pieces of salmon were huge. But, I was brave and I ate it all! TWO TYPES OF SEAFOOD IN ONE MEAL!! That's definitely a record. And I think I ate more seafood tonight than I have in the rest of my life combined. And, it was good.
