Prague Zoo

We went to the Prague Zoo today with John and Rebekah (two of our friends from our training course). The zoo was actually much nicer than I was expecting -- the facilities were hit really hard by the floods in 2002, but they've made great progress in rebuilding them.
Jason was excited because they were feeding the hippos shortly after we arrived. It was quite humorous to watch the beasts just sit there with their mouths open until the zookeeper threw some food in (whole fruit, apples or carrots --- and I don't think the hippos bothered to chew). Jason thought this was great and turned (mouth agape) and asked me if that would work for him. He was quite disappointed when I told him it wouldn't.
