Midterm break
We're in the midst of a three-day weekend here, with Easter Monday being the holiday and not Good Friday. Even yesterday was fairly laid-back, however, with our second session being quite short and the afternoon ending early because we didn't have to teach. We then, as Chelsey mentioned, went out to celebrate Amy's birthday, so Friday was relaxing all in all.
Despite the extra day, we didn't do much today, because Chelsey's got a lot of work to do for Tuesday. Thanks to the Monday holiday, I get to put mine off for a bit. It looks like real sightseeing, and certainly any out-of-town trips, will have to wait until after we pass the course. (I was told Friday I am on my way to passing).
Probably the best thing I've found here so far was on my run last Sunday. We went up a trail through some woods and found ourselves on top of a hill in the middle of a big field, which felt much more like being in the country than being in a metropolitan European city. From the field, however, we got a nice view of Prague in all directions, including Prague's fake Eiffel Tower, the world's biggest stadium and this enormous TV tower that the Soviets originally built to jam radio signals.
