Simpsons Movie

Last week, when I wasn't feeling well, Chelsey took me to see "The Simpsons Movie" to help me feel better. (It worked!) I wasn't sure what to expect from the movie; on the one hand, "The Simpsons" is obviously brilliant; on the other hand, it's never been plot-driven, so I wasn't sure how it would hold up for 90 minutes.
Fortunately, it held up well. It wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it was pretty funny through and through, and there were lots of great lines. I think it was basically as good as the shows from the best "Simpsons" seasons, which is pretty high praise, as it is the greatest TV show ever.
Chelsey even managed to find a showing in English. A lot of foreign movies shown here are dubbed over in Czech, which I think is interesting, because you generally don't see that in North America. Usually back home we get foreign movies with English subtitles, but Czech subtitles are relatively rare (and sometimes more expensive). "The Simpsons" I can understand, though; assuming they got the same voices as dub the TV show into Czech, I can understand wanting to give people the same experience they get on TV.
