Africa Cup of Nations

We didn't see much of the Super Bowl, but the African Cup of Nations (soccer) was all over our Eurosport station over the last month. I was cheering for the hosts, Ghana. I picked them to make the final of the '06 World Cup in an office pool, so they became my rooting favourite. Unfortunately, they were bounced from the World Cup by Brazil, and fell in the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations this year. They lost 1-0 to Cameroon, so I picked up the Cameroonians as my favourite for the final last night. Unfortunately, I picked wrong again, as Egypt won 1-0 to claim its sixth African title.
The next big thing on Eurosport, I think, is the European handball champions league this month, which I'm totally fired up for. But what I'm really looking forward to is the World Cross Country Championships next month. Last year's race has featured prominently in some of the channel's ads, so I'm hopeful they will be televising this year's race as well.
