Zizkov and Letna

Even though we've been here for almost a year, there are still areas of Prague that we've yet to explore. Jason has tried (unsuccessfully) a couple of times to run to the top of the hill in Zizkov that has the Jan Zizka statue -- the tallest equestrian statue in the world. The hill is tricky because it's bordered by some train tracks, so Jason could never find an entrance into the park area. We studied the map and found that we have to go to the opposite end of the long hill and walk across the top. We set out on our adventure and were successful. It was a lovely walk -- including a great view of the strange TV tower -- and reached Zizka. We tried to cut down the hill and find another way out, but we weren't successful and ended up leaving the same way we'd come it.
Our next stop was Letna Park, which is on a hill above the city next to the castle. We'd read that there are some great views and I wanted to take some pictures. We got there right at sunset and it was gorgeous! I even got a couple of great pictures. You can see all of the day's pictures here.

I don't think I've seen a more beautiful photo of Prague. It captures exactly everything I miss about the city.
