Adventures in food
So we're moving to Japan, which means more adventures in food - probably greater adventures than in the Czech Republic. It could be especially challenging for Chelsey, since I have the impression that Japanese food involves a lot of fish and seafood. The day after we decided we were going to go to Japan, Mom and Dad took Kim, Michal and us out for Japanese food at a Benihana-style place. I think this was a good spot for Chelsey, because they had a lot of non-seafood for her to have. That being said, she did pretty well, eating all of the shrimp they brought her as an appetizer, eating the mushrooms (another least-favoured item) and even taking a bite of my calamari.
She got even more daring after going dress shopping with her friend Sara. They went to some sushi place that Sara knew in Huntington Beach. Obviously, the sushi involved fish, but the restaurant kept bringing them dishes besides those they ordered. This apparently culminated in Chelsey eating a shrimp's head (pictured). I'm not sure exactly what else she had, since I wasn't there, but I'm quite proud of her.
