Picnic at the lake

Last weekend, in a delayed birthday present for Michal, we headed down to Lake Mission Viejo. Our plan was to rent a little boat and go out for the afternoon, but it turned out that the boats were already booked. We had been a little concerned about the weather anyways - it had been cloudy and overcast all morning. As it turned out, it wouldn't have been too bad on the boat, but we made do. We went to a sandwich shop Kim and Michal know. It's actually a wine-and-cheese shop run by a French-Canadian couple, but they make really good sandwiches. We got some and had a picnic by the water. It was really nice.
Afterwards we went back to Kim and Michal's house and watched "The Dark Knight". It was the first time Chelsey and I had seen it; somehow, in all our traveling last summer, we missed this blockbuster. It was pretty good, if probably a little long.
