Minnesota

Chelsey and I spent the last week visiting with her family in Minnesota. In something of a family tradition, they rented some cabins by a lake in northwestern Minnesota for the week. This time, it turned out that just over half the family came, but we had a lot of fun.
I ended up trying several new things while we were there, starting with golf. I had never swung a golf club in my life, except the putter in mini-golf, but I tagged along with some of Chelsey and some of her uncles and cousins. I also played shuffleboard, although I was eliminated early in the family tournament, and I went sailing with Chelsey and one of her uncles on his catamaran. It was a lot of fun, and we managed to keep the boat from tipping over.

Most importantly, it was good to see people before we head for Japan in less than a month now.
