Back to Brawley

We're back in California for a visit before we head to Japan. On our drive, we stopped in the Imperial Valley for the first time since we left 2+ years ago. It was interesting to drive through; the biggest building in Brawley burned down shortly after we moved out, and it was strange to me to see the main square without it. It was as hot as I remember it being, which did not inspire me to move back.

We had dinner with some friends from the paper - well, formerly from the paper. It was fun to catch up. Unfortunately there were a few more people who had to work, so they couldn't make it. We'll have to go back sometime. Probably not until after we get back from Japan, though.
