Music museum

After being stymied yesterday and turning to the National Museum instead, today we went to the Czech Music Museum. It featured an interactive exhibit that Chelsey and a couple of our classmates wanted to do. It was neat, there were lots of little interesting things to play with. These included tubes that let you talk to people several stories below (provided you could figure out which tube connected you) and these funny earphone-type things I'm playing with in the picture. They have a name, but I don't remember what it is.
There was also the regular museum exhibits, which is essentially displays of the history of musical instruments. It was interesting to see variations on instruments like guitars and violins over the centuries.
A side note about yesterday's museum trip: we went through a hall that showed archaeological finds from various periods of Czech history. We were walking backwards (that is, from more recent to older periods) and it's a reminder of how much longer recorded civilization has been here, when I kept thinking "it's got to be almost done" then realised it could keep going for awhile. And it did, although eventually the coins and pots all kind of blurred together. Especially when you can't read the really interesting signs.
